Phrase: A group of words which makes meaning but not completely meaning is a phrase.
Eg: in the sky, on account of the festival
Clause: A clause a group of words which forms a part of a sentence and has a subject a verb.
Eg:
1) If you consult the principal

2) As she was sick yesterday

3) When she called me up yesterday

Sentence: A group of words which makes complete meaning is a sentence.
Note: A sentence in English always ends in a full stop(.), a question mark(?) or an exclamation mark(!).
Eg:
1) I am a post graduate in English.
2) Why did you postponed the meeting?
3) Please help me in this matter.
4) How beautiful a rainbow looks!
